Regulations, Terms, Conditions, and Rules Governing the Homecoming Pow Wow
Electrical Service: The Pawnee Veterans will not provide electricity. The vendors are responsible for bringing and using their own power/generators.
Security: During open hours there will be pow wow committee volunteers and security to help secure your booth. After closing, additional security personnel will be on the premises.
Liability and Insurance: The Pawnee Indian Veterans, and the Pawnee Nation or the staff of the foregoing will NOT be responsible for the safety of the property of the Food Vendors from theft, damage by fire, accident or other causes. The Food Vendor will be responsible for purchasing their own insurance coverage for protection against loss, injury or damage arising out of their negligence in connection with their use and occupancy of the booth space provided.
Booth Setup: Vendors may set up each day from opening to closing of Powwow. unless other specific arrangements are made with the Veterans Committee. Vendors must set up in the assigned spaces. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SETUP AT ANY OTHER LOCATION!
Booth Dismantling: Booths must be removed by the end of the night on break camp day on Monday.
Admittance: The Pawnee Indian Veterans Organization may refuse at its sole discretion admittance to any persons whose presence the committee deems not to be in the best interest of the homecoming pow wow.
Weather: In the event of bad weather, the pow wow will be moved to an indoor facility. If the vendor decides to close down, no refund will be given. If the Veterans Committee is unable to accommodate the vendor, then at that time a partial or full refund will be given.
Food Preparation: Vendors must provide all resources for the preparation and serving of menu items including food products, paper goods, utensils and staff. Vendor must also provide proof of current food handler license.
Sanitation/Clean Up: Vendors are responsible for having area cleaned and always sanitized, this also includes area trash. Vendors are responsible for disposing of any grease/oil off site.
Menus/Pricing: Vendors should post menu and prices for the public to clearly see.

ARTS & CRAFTS VENDOR INFORMATION & REGULATIONS
The Pawnee Indian Veterans Organization sponsors the Annual Homecoming & Powwow. The officers of the Pawnee Indian Veterans have completed and final authority over the Pow-Wow operations and reserves the right for immediately removal of any Vendor from the Powwow who violates any Regulation.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all crafters and artists that offer products that meet the criteria of the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990. In accordance with The Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990, which is a truth-in-advertising law that prohibits misrepresentation in marketing of American Indian or Alaska Native arts and crafts products within the United States. It is illegal to offer or display for sale or sell any art or craft product in a manner that falsely suggests it is Indian produced, an Indian product, or the product of a particular Indian or Indian Tribe or Indian arts and crafts organization, resident within the United States. For a first-time violation of the Act, an individual can face civil or criminal penalties up to a $250,000 fine or a five-year prison term, or both. If business violates the Act, it can face civil penalties or can be prosecuted and fined up to $1,000,000.
PRODUCTS:
♦ Vendor products may be original arts or crafts, or other permitted merchandise.
♦ No weapons, silly string, or offensive materials of any kind permitted.
♦ No food/drink sold by Arts & Craft Vendors.
♦ Raffles/contest/active solicitations through powwow crowd prohibited.
DISPLAY EQUIPMENT: Canopies, protective coverings, display stands, tables, chairs, etc. are the Vendor’s responsibility. Vendors should bring trash bags for picking up and disposing of own trash and should come prepared for any kind of weather.
BOOTH SIZE & FEE: Booth space (approximately 10’ front and 10’ deep) available for four days. Artists must furnish all set up equipment, including tent, lighting, extension cords, generators, display tables, and chairs. The four-day charge per space is $225.00 or $75.00 per day. (No charge for Thursday).
BOOTH ASSIGNMENTS: Booths will be located on the North side of the Round house only. Under no circumstance may your booth set up extend beyond the area. Booth choices are encouraged but availability NOT guaranteed. It is to the Vendor’s advantage to submit an application as early as possible. Applications accepted until all spaces filled. NOTIFICATION AND BOOTH SELECTION: Your canceled check/receipt will be notification of your acceptance. The Pow-Wow committee reserves the right to change booth locations up until and during the Pow-Wow weekend, as it deems appropriate.
The fenced-in Pow-Wow vendor area patrolled by the Pawnee Tribal Police during all hours, but you are responsible for your own merchandise.
PARKING:
Parking is in high demand during each nighttime Powwow event. Vehicles left overnight are at owner’s risk.
EXHIBITION STANDARDS & RULES:
♦ Booth spaces may not transfer or otherwise assigned to another vendor.
♦ All Vendors MUST donate at least one (1) item to the Pawnee Indian Veterans Organization as a raffle item. Due on first day you set up.
♦ Vendors are responsible for cleaning up vendor space, including area in front/rear of booth.
♦ Items for sale must be clearly marked with sale price.
♦ No offensive (including any profanity), racial or drug related merchandise will be displayed, sold or distributed, and will be monitored and objectionable merchandise will be asked to be removed from booths immediately. Failure to comply will result in immediate closure of booth.
♦ Booths assigned on a “first come, first served” basis and absolutely no booth space held without payment of space rental.
♦ No weapons of any sort allowed (guns, brass knuckles, etc.)
♦ No silly string will be accepted or permitted.
♦ No food/drink/active solicitation through Powwow crowd allowed.
ON SITE EVALUATIONS WILL BE CONDUCTED TO ENSURE THAT EXHIBITION STANDARDS AND RULES ARE FOLLOWED. FAILURE TO COMPLY COULD RESULT IN A NEGATIVE EVALUATION AND/OR EXPULSION FROM THE POWWOW AND LOSS OF ALL FEES PAID.
REFUNDS:
WEATHER: In the event of inclement weather, the Powwow will move indoors. In case of other significant events, and the Powwow cancelled, your deposit will be refunded.
CANCELLATION: Booth fees refunded if canceled from inclement weather. Any other unfortunate circumstances from the vendor a cancellation fee of $50.00 will be deducted from your refund.
