Regulations, Terms, Conditions, and Rules Governing the Homecoming Pow Wow
Electrical Service: There will be limited electrical hookups at the Campgrounds. Not everyone will have electricity. The campers are responsible for bringing and using their own power source and extension cords and adapters.
Camping Fire Pits: Make sure there are no burn bans and it's not too windy. Dig a pit away from overhanging branches. Never leave a campfire unattended; an adult should supervise the campfire at all times. When it's time to put the fire out, dump lots of water on it, stir it with a shovel, then dump more water on it. Make sure it is COLD before leaving the campsite. If it's too hot to touch, it's too hot to leave! If you dig a fire pit then please fill back with dirt after you leave your camping spot.
Security: During open hours there will be the Tribal Police, pow wow committee volunteers and security to help secure your campsites.
Liability and Insurance: The Pawnee Indian Veterans, and the Pawnee Nation or the staff of the foregoing will NOT be responsible for the safety of the property of the Campsites from theft, damage by fire, accident or other causes. The campers will be responsible for purchasing their own insurance coverage for protection against loss, injury or damage arising out of negligence in connection with their use and occupancy of the camp space provided.
Tent Setup: Campers may setup after approval of designated camping area. Campers must setup in the assigned spaces. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SETUP ON OTHER DESIGNATED CAMPSITES OR OCCUPY DESIGNATED ELECTRICAL OUTLETS!
Quiet Time: Quiet time will be from 12 A.M. to 6 A.M. during this time there will be no fireworks or amplified music. If complaints are received from adjourning campers, guests not registered will be asked to leave. FIREWORKS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AT CAMP SITES OR THE RESTROOMS.
Tent Dismantling: Tents must be removed by the end of the day on break camp day July 7th. Fire pits also need to be filled back with dirt.
Campgrounds Admittance: The Pawnee Indian Veterans Organization may refuse at its sole discretion admittance to any persons whose presence the committee deems not to be in the best interest of the homecoming campgrounds.
